Are you getting started in property management? Do you need a refresher or review or update on working in this field?

Many of us stay in conflict because we do not know how to handle the situations. We do the wrong things because we don't know what is the right thing. Some feel needed when in difficult situations and just try to be helpful but it all goes wrong. Those are numerous ways to deal with difficult situations. But depending on the situation, some ways are better than others.

This 2024 updated seminar will go over some real life issues landlords have encountered and the options of dealing with them.

30-Minute Break | 11:00 am – 11:30 am

With recent legislative changes and updates, it's essential to ensure that you're fully informed and compliant to avoid any potential legal pitfalls.

Whether you're a seasoned landlord or new to the rental industry, this course is designed to equip you with the knowledge and skills necessary to thrive in today's dynamic regulatory environment.

Don't miss out on this opportunity to enhance your understanding of Oregon landlord/tenant law and take your business to new heights. Register now to secure your spot!

  • Oregon Office of Childcare rules and regulations
  • Differences between Certified and Registered Family Childcare
  • Property alterations or requirements
  • Tenant requirements
  • Insurance vs waivers
  • Retaliation penalties

30-Minute Break | 02:30 pm – 03:00 pm

"Security Deposits are a landlord's best friend," said Norton Cabell, a long-time housing provider advocate. This presentation will cover what is allowed in law, best practices, and final accounting for deposits.

Recent law changes have expanded the Landlord Guarantee Program. This program covers landlords who have suffered tenant damages after renting to housing voucher clients. This review will explain the qualifications and process for applying to the program.
