President’s Message: Moving Forward
Committee activity has been especially robust over the past month, with numerous efforts underway to support our members and strengthen the organization.

Bylaws Committee: The committee has updated the bylaws to more clearly define committee roles and is now developing policies and procedures that will further support the organization.

Legislative Committee: After actively working on bills introduced during the 2026 Oregon Legislative Session, the committee has developed goals for the coming years. Chair Cliff Conner-Coash’s attention to detail and active research have served ORHA well.

Technology Committee: Under Ben Seamans’ leadership, the committee continues to manage expenses carefully and address cybersecurity concerns to better protect members. The committee also continues to explore ways to improve its work product.

Social Media and Membership: This area has continued its work during a leadership transition. Sandee Webb has graciously stepped in as chair and is helping maintain ORHA’s social media presence as we seek additional individuals to provide support.

Education Committee: The committee is seeking a new chair, and I am currently serving in that role until another individual is found. Please contact me if you are interested or know someone who may be willing to serve. As part of our ongoing education program, ORHA presented LARRC and Fair Housing classes virtually on July 1.

Member survey results have been received, and ORHA will review the feedback to help guide future member services. The Survey Committee will soon begin preparing this year’s survey. Your input is valuable in shaping ORHA’s activities.

The Ad Hoc Committee and Forms Committee have completed the Subscription Program contracts, allowing local associations and property managers to purchase the option to print their own forms. The response has been excellent. Please note that the Forms Store will continue to offer online forms. Special thanks to Tia Politi for her leadership in completing this important work.

Several committees also focus on short-term activities, including the Nomination, Survey, Newsletter, and Finance committees.

The Executive Committee is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Association and has also taken on the role of the Long Range Planning Committee.
