What can a Landlord do? 

Federal law says marijuana is illegal but recent state laws say it is legal to use. The laws are changing quickly and old laws are being reinterpreted. It is easy to be confused.

This workshop reviews the most current laws and describes the parameters for landlord. Examples of difficulties that landlords face will be presented and discussed.

SPEAKER:

Violet Wilson

Violet Wilson is the "V" in V & R Management. Violet is Oregon licensed and works as a property manager.  Violet holds a Bachelor of Arts in Science from San Jose State University and a Masters of Science in Education from Western Oregon University. She was a high school teacher for over 36 years in California and Oregon schools.  V & R Management, LLC has operated since 1990, specializing in single family home rentals but they have managed all types of properties.  

Recently elected at the Oregon Rental Housing President, Violet is a past vice president of Oregon Rental Housing Association, former chair of the ORHA Education Committee, and serves on the ORHA Legislative Action Committee.  Since 2008, she has taught property management classes for local and the state housing provider associations.  In addition, she has volunteered to teach classes to help tenants become better residents.
