Oregon Health Authority

The Oregon Health Authority’s Lead-Based Paint Program (LBPP) is authorized by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) to administer the Renovation, Repair and Painting (RRP) Rule. This rule requires individuals and firms to be certified and use lead-safe work practices when performing renovations that disturb painted surfaces in housing built before 1978. Landlords, property managers, and realtors that perform this work are regulated by the LBPP.

This presentation will cover the basics of the RRP rule and other lead-based paint statutes and rules in Oregon. It will also provide updates on state and federal regulations that could impact landlords and property managers that perform renovation work or hire third parties to perform the work.
